Presidential “E-Star” Award

LRI is proud to announce we have been awarded the 2016 Presidential E-Star Award for excellence in export services! This is the second E-Award LR has received from the Secretary of Commerce.

C-TPAT Certification

In 2010 LR INTERNATIONAL was awarded C-TPAT certification by The United States Customs Service. LRI was re-certified under C-TPAT in 2014 for an additional 4 years.

International Trade Club of Chicago

Ric Frantz C.E.O. of LR INTERNATIONAL is a Director Emeritus and past President of The International Trade Club of Chicago. The ITC of Chicago is the oldest and most prestigious International Trade Club in the United States.

LR International was presented with the “E” Award at the May 17, 2012 World Trade Week ceremonies in Washington DC.

 

U.S. companies are nominated for the “E” Award through the U.S. Commercial Service’s office network in 108 U.S. cities and more than 75 countries which help U.S. companies export. The primary criterion for the “E” Award is four years of successive export growth, or of supporting the export growth of others. “E” Awards are awarded to applicants that can demonstrate a significant contribution to U.S. export expansion that is measurable, innovative, sustainable, and has broad impact.

 

All nominations are reviewed by the “E” Award Committee, which is chaired by the Department of Commerce, and includes representatives of ExIm Bank, the Small Business Administration, and the Departments of Agriculture, Labor, State, and Transportation. Read More

Governors Export Award

Governor’s Export Award for Community Service

In May of 1998, and again in 2016, LR International Co-founder Ric Frantz won the Governor’s Export award for Community Service. This was in recoginition of his outstanding willingness to lecture on all phases of export for the State of Illinois, International Trade Organizations, Universities and Colleges, and Individual Companies. Mr. Frantz has participated in these types of programs for over 20 years.

LRI is proud to have been appointed to the newly formed Southwest Illinois Trade and Investment Council. This joint initiative between Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the two primary counties in Southwest Illinois and the State of Illinois Export Trade Office at S.I.U. Edwardsville is designed to bring government, academia and industry together to promote exports from Southwest Illinois and encourage continued infrastructure support designed to enhance the area’s already stellar services and reputation as a hub for Midwest exporting across the globe. The Board of Directors will meet periodically to plan educational programs, create awareness amongst the exporting community, develop initiatives to further develop the region’s port, rail, truck and airport infrastructure and promote exports of the thousands of products manufactured by the area’s diverse manufacturing companies. LRI was asked to be a part of the leadership team as a result of our many years in providing education and export services to the region. Ric Frantz, LRI C.E.O. and Paul Jarzombek, LRI C.O.O. will serve on the board assisting the organization to meet its goals and objectives.
